Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan

With a vision to reach out and provide quality education to each deserving child from across the State, Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya Sangathan (OAVS) was established in the year 2015. It is an initiative of Shri Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha, who is passionate about School Education. OAVS provides free quality English medium CBSE education to the students, especially from semi-urban and rural areas, from across the state. The Adarsha Vidyalaya aims to promote the rural talents by inculcating the 21st century learning skills through a holistic and integral approach for their physical and aesthetic development, apart from academic fineness.

The co-ed Schools will be established at the Block Headquarter in all the 314 Blocks of Odisha, at Secondary and Senior Secondary level from Classes VI to XII with 50% reservation for girls. There will be Girls Hostels for 83 Schools in the various blocks. The Adarsha Vidyalayas will play a key role in spreading modern education in remote parts in the State, while integrating the students of small towns and villages with mainstream education.
